The Special Districts Department on behalf of the Board of Supervisors for County Service Area 56 (Wrightwood) is soliciting informal bids for the CSA 56 Wrightwood Skate Park Project - ReBid. Bid submission is on May 23, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Hard copy bids must be submitted to Special Districts Department 157 W. 5th Street, 2nd Floor, San Bernardino Ca. 92415-0450 or bidders may choose to submit electronically through the County's E-Procurement system (E-Pro).
 
Project entails the construction of a concrete modular Skate Park Plaza area with picnic benches, stairs, rails and ramps including grading, street improvements and paving with concrete and asphalt, decompose granite walkway, parking area improvements and berm/curb placement in accordance with the plans and specs.
 
A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 9, 2013 and will begin promptly at 1:00 pm at the project site located at NE corner intersection of Apple Valley and Pine Street. Wrightwood, CA. A sign in sheet wil be provided and only contractors attending this meeting as evidenced by the sign-in sheet will be allowed to submit a bid.

The Special Districts Department is soliciting informal bids on behalf of County Service Areas 79 (Green Valley Lake) and 56 Zone B (Fawnskin) in the San Bernardino Mountain areas for the Sewer Manhole Sealing and Repair Project. A total of 43+ manholes are scheduled for inspection, repair and coating as indicated in the informal bid package. Bid submission is due at 2:00 p.m. on May 23, 2013 and will be opened publicly at the Special Districts Department Offices located at 157 W. 5th Street, 2nd Floor, San Bernardino Ca. 92415-0450. Bids may be submitted electronically on supplied itemized bid sheets through the County's E-Procurement system (E-Pro at www.epro.sbcounty.gov/epro/ ) or may be hard copy submitted by the date and time indicated. Either way of submission will require an original hard copy 10% bid bond submittal PRIOR to the date and time of scheduled bid opening. Failure of providing a hard copy bid bond will render the bid invalid. The complete bid package may be downloaded for free from the County's E-Pro system without registration, however, in order to submit a bid whether electronic or hard copy, contractors MUST be registered in E-Pro or their bid will be diqualified. Allow 48-72 hours for registration processing. If you are already registered in e-pro (from a previous solicitation) you will not have to register again. Contractors may also purchase an electronic CD with the complete set of bid documents and forms necessary to bid the project for a non-refundable fee of $20.00.  

 

Contractors must also meet other requirements like having a valid Class A (General Engineering) Contractors license and meet the County's insurance requirements.
