County Service Area 70, Improvement Zone R-5 Sugarloaf

Sugarloaf is located in the 3^rd Supervisorial District in the Big Bear area of San Bernardino County.  This district consists of approximately 23 miles of paved and unpaved roads.  In 1993 the District passed an assessment district to pay for the paving of of the majority of roads in this district.  The annual assessment is approximately $150 per year and will be completed in 2008.  The district hires a contractor for snow removal.  The revenue is derived from a portion of the ad valorem property taxes and a $12 service charge levied on each parcel of land.
